Thanks to donations from individuals like you, Bittersweet Ministries is able to help families in Tijuana by providing uniforms, shoes, and school supplies to over 100 children twice a year. 

When financially possible Bittersweet Ministries also provides scholarships for families who are not able to afford yearly school tuition.

The history of the program originated in Los Angeles on January 9th, 1995. Helen Lancaster collected pennies from the congregation. She requested that a cup be placed up front and while the congregation was giving their offering and tithes they would be able to spare pennies and coins. That is where she came up with the name "Pennies From Heaven". The motto was that even a penny matters to someone who is hungry and in need.

We appreciate any financial support you feel led to give.  School kits are also in demand; assembling them are great projects for a small group activity or Bible School outreach.
